![]() Legitimate rights embodied in the Act and regulations and the rules of organizations as well as in federal awards.ġ.5 Although each year has seen an increase in the numbers of individuals availing themselves of the Bureau's services in relation to their rights under the Act, the pattern of demands in 198 1-82 and of responses to Bureau overtures and initiatives in this reporting period appeared to mark a major change in the general level of recognition and expectations placed upon the Bureau.ġ. There was a very substantial increase in the incidence of recourse to the Bureau for advice or action to determine and secure For example, and in particular, no situations had arisen requiring substantive action on the part of the Bureau pursuant to the provisions concerning accounting practices, audit and fina ncial reporting requirements of organizations.ġ.4 Nonetheless it became quite clear in 1981-82 that there was a widespread awareness and understanding in the industrial community of the Bureau's principal responsibilities and its general modus operandi.
